History

Bach Flower essence was developed in the early 1930's by an British doctor named Edward Bach. He discovered 39 remedies. This doctor was a general and homeopathic practitioner, bacteriologist and pathologist who studied vaccines.

He became disillusioned with the practice of treating disease with products originating from disease and believed he could fine therapeutic alternatives derived from nature. He then turned his back on his lucrative practice and devoted the rest of his life researching the properties of flowers and plants.

Dr. Bach believed disease in the human body was caused by imbalances to the emotional and spiritual bodies of a person. Furthermore, he believed essences could help restore balance to the emotional and spiritual bodies of a person, thus alleviating disease. The doctor died around 1936 but his influence is seen around the world. Many countries have now developed their own therapeutic essences.

Remedies

The theraputic remedies are made from diluted liquid extracts from specific flowers and plants. The flower’s vibrational life force is captured during this process. They are usually mixed with an alcohol base but distilled water can be used if your dog is sensitive to the alcohol. Flower Essence goes hand in hand with homeopathic medicines and they are safe to use with no side effects. They are also beneficial for all pets and make great natural dog remedies.
